The nature of the path to excellence

The path to excellence is sub-excellent. For example, the path to excellent food is sub-excellent. The way it looks, tastes and perhaps smells. Only wise men, women, etc. who understand and apply this principle will attain excellence.

If the path were excellent, it would not be a path to excellence. There would not need to be a path. There would be no path. If there was no path to excellence, either all would be excellent or none, both of which are equivalent. Assuming the existence of excellence, the path must be sub-excellent and, therefore, there is no other option.
This is almost like a logical proof. Therefore, we will end it with:
Q.E.D.
