Paradox about excellence

Here is the paradox I found today.
I was just in the kitchen thinking some other unrelated thing.
- People who try to be excellent directly won't make it because they will fail too many times and get discouraged.
- People who do not want to be excellent will not become.

Then, who becomes?
- People who want to be excellent enough that they see to get there passes from not trying to be excellent directly.

That is a case where the "Return To The Beginning Theory" applies.
It is in harmony with thoughts of Napoleon Hill & Brian Tracy, too.
